Katelyn from @thefearlessreader

Hey guys! Today, I wanted to tell you about my favorite Indiana bookstagrammer, @thefearlessreader!

Why I love her photos:

  • Her photos are always so crisp. I don’t know how she does it, but Katelyn’s photos are never blurry.
  • The effort she puts behind her photos is phenomenal. I’ve watched some of her livestreams on Instagram when she’s taking taking photos and wow. The way she sets up her photos with all of those props is *insert heart eyes emojis*
  • Her photos usually have the base color of white. I don’t know what it is about that, but her photos always stick out to me just because they look so clean and nice. If I tried to take photos with a white background other than my desk, it would be stained within seconds.

Some of my favorite photos she’s taken:

Yes, before you ask, Katelyn is my friend, but I truly feel that her bookstagram is one of the best ones out there. Please go check it out and comment “@unquenchablereads sent me!”.

Xx Sincerely,

Shannon Lee Alexander: IG Challenge

Hello, readers! I’m Shannon Lee Alexander, author of the contemporary young adult novels Love and Other Unknown Variables and Life after Juliet. I’m excited to work with Anna again to celebrate Indiana’s wonderful authors for Indiana Author Month.

My favorite part about being an author is getting to meet readers. I’ve been a reader my whole life. This author gig thing is still kind of new to me, and most times I feel more like a reader than an author. Meeting avid readers and getting to talk all things bookish is such a treat.

So to celebrate Indiana’s authors and the readers they love, I thought it’d be fun to host an Instagram photo challenge. When trying to come up with a theme for the challenge, I was playing around with Anna’s Indiana Author Month title and realized the acronym is IAM, which I immediately read as I AM. It made me think of all the things that reading does for me. When I read, I AM stronger, smarter, kinder, and braver. I AM able to understand other people and cultures and travel to many places. I AM myself and yet bigger than I ever dreamed.

Descartes may have proclaimed, “I think therefore I am,” but I say, “I read therefore I AM.”

Let’s take a month and celebrate all the wonderful things we can become and do when we are reading and writing stories. Use and follow the #I_AMchallenge2017 on Instagram for fun and gorgeous pictures. Your photos can feature books, props, your friends, your pets, whatever your imagination invokes for each day’s challenge. Tag your challenge photos with #I_AMchallenge2017 and visit the Rafflecopter Giveaway daily to enter to win a $10 Amazon Gift Card! You must be participating in the challenge to win the Giveaway.

Stand up as readers this month, and say I AM.

Indiana Author Month 2017!

Welcome to the third annual Indiana Author Month! I know that Indiana Author Month is rather late this year, but I promise it’s going to be amazing! The author line up is incredible and the posts they have decided on are really fun! I’ll start the actual posts tomorrow seeing as I am part of a cover reveal today for a non Indiana author. Tomorrow’s post will be by the lovely Shannon Lee Alexander, who has participated every year in Indiana Author Month.

This time around, I’ve decided to add a post about Indiana bloggers, booktubers, and bookstagrammers! I cannot wait to let you guys know about more amazing bookish people to follow.

I’m still looking for authors for the line-up, so if anyone wants to help me out by dming me an author you’d love to see on the blog this month that is from Indiana, let me know!

Xx Sincerely,
